BLOODLINES KENNEL CLUB

  • At the Bloodlines Kennel Club (BKC), our mission is to preserve the legacy and integrity of the American Bully breed. As the first registry to recognize the breed in 2004, we are committed to upholding a consistent and authentic breed standard. We strive to promote the health, structure, and overall betterment of the American Bully, ensuring its continued growth and global recognition while staying true to its origins.

  • The Standard, Pocket and XL are the three varieties of the American Bully.

  • Breed Standard Consistency
A single, unified standard applies to the breed regardless of size or weight variation. The American Bully maintains consistent breed type through correct proportions, symmetry, and overall balance. While multiple size classes may exist, all dogs must fall within clearly defined limits and adhere strictly to the established parameters of the standard.

  • Yes, however, your dog must be enrolled in the Genesis Program and complete the BKC Commission certification process. DNA testing is required, and an asterisk will be included next to your dog’s registration number to indicate this status.

  • Common reasons include incorrect bite, albinism, aggression, or size outside the class standard.

  • This is a hot topic, some registries do, others don’t due to health concerns and stucture concerns. At this time the BKC does not register Exotic Bullies.
